Surface development and review

  • Assess input surfaces, boundaries and areas needing refinement.
  • Review reflections and surface transitions from relevant viewing directions.
  • Check continuity against the agreed project requirements.
  • Refine scoped areas while tracking design changes and open issues.

Quality criteria belong in the brief

Surface quality depends on the purpose and acceptance criteria of the project. We agree the relevant continuity targets, boundary conditions, tolerances, data formats and review methods before work starts. A visual reflection check alone does not establish that all geometry requirements have been met.

What the handover can include

Depending on the agreed scope: refined surface data, review views, a record of checks, revision notes and a list of remaining issues or dependencies. Geometry coverage, file formats and revision rounds are confirmed during assessment.

Working together

  1. Share a non-confidential description of the project and target timing.
  2. Agree access to input data through an appropriate confidential channel.
  3. Define scoped surfaces, quality targets, review stages and responsibilities.
  4. Review revisions and hand over the agreed deliverables.

Pricing and schedules are confirmed after scope assessment. Where appropriate, a scoped paid pilot can help both teams evaluate the working process.

Relevant work examples

Tell us the surface-quality challenge you need to assess. We can discuss whether a relevant work example is cleared for sharing, with AOMO’s contribution identified.
